Lauren Goodger, star of The Only Way Is Essex, hit the headlines last week when she was pictured in numerous papers with a flat stomach. The TV star was reported to have had Vaser liposculpture to get rid of what she called “lumps and bumps”, leaving her noticeably toned and sculpted.
Vaser lipo uses ultrasound to target stubborn fat that diet and exercise have been unable to shift. The treatment breaks down fatty tissue, allowing problem areas to be sculptured. Unlike with traditional liposuction, those undergoing Vaser require no general anaesthetic or overnight hospital stay. Clients are usually able to leave the clinic within half an hour of the procedure finishing, and results will be noticeable immediately. Final results will be seen within four months of the treatment taking place.
Dr Mike Comins of Hans Place Practice is an award-winning Vaser practitioner and an accredited trainer for advanced Vaser liposuction. He introduced the Hi-Def Vaser procedure to the UK in 2008, having been the first doctor in the UK to be trained in it, and has carried out more than 3,000 Vaser liposculpture treatments in the past decade.
“It’s not a weight-loss treatment, and we advise all our clients to eat a healthy diet and take regular exercise, as Lauren appears to have done,” comments Dr Comins.
